We will put the information you provide on this page to assist other families. We are particularly interested in orphanage photos (current and previous), director photo with name and tenure information, and any miscellaneous information. We appreciate your help in making this project worthwhile to adoption families.

Orphanage Description:
The Shaoguan orphanage facility was completed and started use in 2003, but it is likely that the children had been housed on or near the site since 1999. The children's floor is the top floor of the SWI. The lower floors are used as a retirement home. On the children's floor there is an entry lobby with elevator, staircase, and some toys. To the left is the baby room, now subdivided into a crib area and play area. To the right is a small office and confinement rooms for sick children. There is an outside deck with high rails. Up until 2003 the children's areas only housed about 20 children. In 2004-2005 the population grew to as many as 50 children, but by 2007 it was back down to 20 children, almost all special needs.
